Does anyone know where I can find cardamon, fennel seed or sunflower oil Lakeside? I've checked El Torito and Superlake with no luck.

Thanks in advance.

There is a little store on the south side of the carratera in town, just west of a restaurant on the corner -- I think its name is Rumors. Sign outside the restaurant offers gumbo, oysters, clams. The store itself has a sign like "granos y semillas"... many fresh spices there, reasonably priced - as well as nuts, granolas and other tasty things.

Berto is referring to "Gossip's Kitchen". The grain/spice/kitchen store is next door.

Thank you all! I was crawling around on the floor (well, almost) in the spice aisle with translated names and everything, but I didn't think of the Indian food section, or the front. I'll try again, and if I don't have any luck, I'll check out the shop next to Gossip's.

Muchisimo gracias!

Believe it or not Walmart has separate "gourmet" spicre rack between the freezer with the bagles and the produce section. It is the only place Lakeside that we can now find cracked black pepper. I saw cardoman there Saturday,,,

I just this week saw both cardamon and fennel seed at WalMart. Check the display rack by the fresh veggies - hear the end cooler with the bagels.

Cardamom has always been expensive. My mother used to buy the pods and have my father grind them because they stayed fresher longer. Keep it in the refrigerator after you buy it, pods or ground.
