The date when the bill is sent out varies from place to place so maybe you should mention what area you are referring to.

Our meter gets read around Feb 10 and each two months thereafter and the bill appears online several days later, if you have registered on their website: http://app.cfe.gob.mx/APLICACIONES/CCFE/RECIBOS/CONSULTA/login.aspx Click on registro

Mine too. (Feb 10 or 11) Sadly I pay much more for a two month CFE bill than Tom Gates does. He pays about $42 pesos per billing period, almost every if not every time. Sadly, my bill is many times higher. In October, my bill was an acceptable $101 or $102 pesos. This last December it went up more than 80%, all the way to $182 pesos for two months.

Maybe I should go to the CFE office and complain :)

Oh come on Pete, get a few more solar panels, upgrade to a Kaco 3502 inverter and get that data card so you don't have to get on the ladder to see what your solar production is. As for my CFE bill, I have to pay the minimum charge of $35p plus IVA which brings it to $42.39p. Since a billing error back in 2010, I have a credit with CFE for something like $2400p, so I figure it will be +/- sometime in year 2020 before I use up that credit and have to pay that monthly minimum. Go ESun!

Come on guys. I just wanted a simple answer. Obviously amounts are going to differ based on usage.

Yes, I got mine couple of days back. What do you need?

Now I have a question. My bill had a new charge on it called "deposito", on the right side midway down the bill, under "Estado de cuenta". Between energia and subtotal & IVA 16%. Is this something new? or just on the 1st bill of the year?

They're just pulling each other's legs to see who's paying the least with their solars. All CFE bills are bimonthly, and seem to arrive around the 10th as mentioned, so you have a few weeks left.

Denver, my bill doesn't have that deposito category. Sunset, sorry about the repartee! Do go on that CFE link and register so you can see your bills before they are physically delivered. When your meter is read is pretty consistent, just have to look at a previous bill to see when the meter was last read.

My electric runs about 15.00 USD a month. I wil never complain about that compared to what I paid in Californnia. Sometimes I just don't understand.

I'm sorry, but I thought Tom gave you the answer and a url. All you have to do is go there on line and sign up and then see you bill on your computer screen, It's been explained here how to do it several years ago and in the Guadalajara Reporter a while back as well. My bills only come about 95% of the time (I've been here since '97), so I always check on line a day or so after the normal reading date. Oh and as of late my bills have been coming every time.

Sunsetkid:
Sadly, some cannot give a simple answer to anything.
Our meter is read around the 14th of the month and arrives a few days later. It is due the 28th or 29th. We always go online to check the bill because sometimes it does not arrive in a timely fashion. But we have the bank pay it so it is never late. Our next billing period ends the 14th of February, but this also varies from town to town.

So the only helpful answer you got is from CCC. So in Rancho del Oro it is read in early January and every two months after-(March, May, etc.) and is due near the end of the month.
In many areas it is read in early February, and every two months after (April, June, etc.) and is due near the end of the month.
In some areas it is read near the end of the month and due early the next month.
Quite some time ago I tried to collect information on when the CFE bills were read and due but people wouldn't answer.

It's written on your bill when your meter is read. I can confirm that at my house, the date shown is the date it is read. And I am also sorry that you didn't follow the advice given earlier. Check on line, I've been doing that for years. It's so simple and the URL was shown above. Onlline registration has been explained here and written about how to do in the Guad Reporter, I think twice over the previous year. My bill is always read on the 10th or 11th of every other month
.
Your on line account will show all the facts to include a copy of your bill with all of the facts except that black and white striped bar code at the bottom. It takes me maybe one minute to check on line now that I have registered.

It's so easy :)

Perhaps you're assuming we know more than we do. In my eight years here, I've lived in four houses (please, no more) in Ajijic and Riberas, and the bill has always been bi-monthly starting in February. This would lead me to assume that everyone's bill comes at the same time. If I'd lived in Rancho del Oro, I would know different. So "wouldn't answer" is probably "couldn't answer".
And I think both tomgates and johansen gave very clear and helpful suggestions.

I've lived in Rancho del Oro over a year. Dec/Jan bill should come between 7th to 9th of Feb. At least at my casa. Have no idea when it is read but I know it comes that time each month it is due.
