Does anybody know the Spanish word for corn meal? Not corn starch or corn flour but corn meal like for making corn bread. And other than at SuperLake, is ther anywhere to buy it, preferably by the kilo. I could not find any such thing at Mama Coneja or La Gallina Feliz at abastos and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Exactly what you seek does not appear to be a Mexican staple. Harina de maiz (corn flour) may be as close as you can get. However, Italian Polenta is excellent course corn meal and is often found at Walmart, Aladinos, and other places.
