I searched the Board and could not find the answer: Does anyone know what type photographs are required for IMSS renewal? I think it's two passport-style infantile size, but that does mean front and right profile? Also, sometimes I have read the agent simply peels off last year's photo and slaps it on the new IMSS card. If anyone knows, I'd rather not go back to a photo studio.

I think you'll do fine with photos from Farmacia Guadalajara - the technician there knows what is required. The cost is very reasonable - 50 pesos I think is what we paid for visa photos.

That does mean front and right profile, no jewellery or glasses allowed. And you need two of each.

Make sure your photos are at a right angle 90 degrees for side profile
and you are looking directly into the camera,'
if not they will be rejected and tell you to go to a professional photographer
check your photos they are done properly,

My friends went to Jocotopec IMSS for their appointment. the pharmacy had a sign closed permanently and the Dr. said he could no longer prescribe medicine because IMSS was broke. Check this out before you renew. the Dr. also said now if you get service from IMSS hospital you have to pay something, no longer free.

Thanks for responses, I renew up here near Parque Agua Azul and live in Guad Centro. This will be my third year of coverage if they let me renew, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
