The City of Tepatitlan, about an hour away, has invited you to take a "FAM TOUR" which they are hosting. No charge to you, for an exciting trip that includes breakfast and lunch. Saturday, October 15. Be prepared for a long day. Town, tequila factory and museum tours all part of the fun. 8 AM - Leave from the statute in La Floresta. More information available in the LCS office. Sign up in the LCS office. Maximum of 40 persons, first come, first served. Just got back from the trip! It was really a lot of fun. Tepatitlan is probably 150,000 population - NE of Guad. Trailrunner Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 I like 'Tepa' a lot too. On Sundays they have a sort of lace and bedding tianguis in a parking lot either at Sorianas or across the street. There are lots of older women making lace things on the steps going in and many puestos inside. I liked the ladies on the steps, ask to see their stash in their little bags. Check carefully tho, there is also a fair amount of Hecho en China as well.

They paid for everything - bus, food, etc. I don't know if they will be doing a future one or not - they are interested in getting tourists to visit their city so this was a get acquainted trip!
