Like anything else, new takes some getting used to, but I sure do miss the unread content button next to each thread that takes you the new posting there. Can that feature be enabled again?

I love the new UI, the button to the left of the topic takes me to unread responses.

this new format is not user friendly. we now have to scroll over to read the end of a sentence and to see when a posting was made. it also divides postings into categories of pseudo importance while keeping the banner on the right side which takes up space without offering any real info that's not on the home page, and makes you have to click twice to return to the forum.

Your settings will have to be adjusted, my link has no side banner, no scrolling.

OK, The doggone banner is now gone.
I don't know what changed to make it disappear,
but now, I dont have to use full screen anymore
and I don't have to scroll to read the right edge of post's text.

Thanks - I guess

Try using the link above for IE. Then bookmark it.

I'm actually seeing a lot of new features that I like and are very helpful. I think I can live with this change.

I imagine they be configuring it more over the next couple of days.

On the positive side of the equation, I find this color scheme easier to read, it loads faster, and the mobile format on my itouch is WAAAY better.

But - I haven't looked at it on my laptop yet. . .

I do not like this at all. Don't like the scrolling and don't know how to fix it.

I agree, don't like having to scroll left to right to see every sentence. I miss all the current posts that were on the right hand side when you first logged in. If I could find a way, I'd hide or minimize the list of advertisers on the right, but I know that's their bread and butter so I'm sure that's impossible. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I don't have to scroll and don't have any advertisements. The change is ok although somethings now take an extra step.

I have to scroll back and forth too. Don't like it at all.
I am using Google Chrome. What browser eliminates the scrolling?

I don't have to scroll with FF but still have the ads on the right. Go to settings and select Mobile.

The size of your screen/monitor generally dictates how much you can see. This has also historically been a huge problem for Yahoo email users. 19" and up pretty much clears up the problem. (There was a time when software designers were used to doing graphics for a maximum screen size of 15". And this, while they often had 19" screens on their desks.)

Getting old sucks. :) Each time someone updates his software, I'm a little older and it takes longer for me to make the adjustment. Somehow I remembered how to upload my photo again
