Oops, just realized I posted this in the wrong section - Cocina. Excuse the goof up, please... I'm putting it on the main board now.

I am looking for those little blue plastic/gel like things you put in the freezer and then transfer to a cooler to keep food cold. Anyone seen these lakeside? Need them for a road trip tomorrow.

Thanks,
Valerie :D

I need some also but I need them to cool a laptop computer. I was hoping Walmart might have them.

look in the pharmacy area at WalMart - I bought a few a couple years ago, for a cold compress -

Jeannie - you might just try elevating the back half of your laptop - so that the air can flow under - and blowing out the dust. That seemed to work for me on my hot laptops -

If your laptop is getting that hot, then chances are either: a. the fan has died, or if it has not then b. Windows needs to be reinstalled. As the drivers for the Windows components get older, they have to work much harder, and cause a lot of extra heat. Reinstalling Windows fixes that completely.

So, you're saying that software ages and becomes less efficient? I don't think so.

It's not a fan problem. It's the CPU.

The cold gel compresses at Walmart (that can be used in ice chests) - are in the pharmacy - bear left - look for the wheel chair at the end of that aisle. Face the wheel chair. The cold compresses are to your immediate left. A sign 80 pesos sorta obscures them. Maybe a foot away from the wheel chair.

Make your own. 3 parts water/1 part isopropyl alcohol. Put in a good zip loc bag. Put that bag in a larger zip loc bag.

Thanks for the information. Sounds a lot cheaper than 80 pesos -

Yea, found them at "the store of many things" in the Ajijic Plaza. They are right at the front entrance on the left side about eye level. They are perfect and only cost 24 pesos each! I bought 4 but there are still 4 there if someone needs them. They are called "Cryopak Ice-Pak", for use in insulated bags and coolers.

Thanks for the help!
Valerie :D
