U-Haul is not in Mexico and you cannot bring a rented U-Haul vehicle or trailer into Mexico.
If planning a move, you can use one as far as Laredo, for example, where you can put the goods into storage. From there, you would either use a Mexican mover or run back in your vehicle (possibly with a rented or borrowed Mexican trailer) to bring the stuff the rest of the way.

RV is there a Mexican company leasing trailers ? If so do you know their name and phone number .We are not looking to hire a moving company .

I rented a Hertz/Penske truck in Dallas, TX in March 2009 and was able to drive it across the border into Nuevo Laredo where I transferred the items into a Mexican van which was rented at the GDL airport. I could then drive the rental truck back into the USA and return it in Laredo.

True, and I should have been more specific: You can't take the rental into the interior of Mexico. The Zona Frontera has different rules.
If you look in the Yellow Pages or use Google, you can find rental trucks and trailers of all sizes in Guadalajara. You'll probably have to do it in Spanish, but, yes, I've seen them. This site has many for sale: http://guadalajara.olx.com.mx/casas-rodantes-trailers-remolques-caravanas-cat-417

Does this mean that if you own your own enclosed trailer and load it with goods to move to Mexico the first time with your FM3, you can't bring your goods to Ajijic? I understood that you could on your own trailer. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I was planning on coming in on my FM3 with a load and then coming in again on my wifes' FM3 with another load. Open to any suggestions? Thanks!!!

The reason you can't take the UHaul past the Frontera is because its a hired vehicle and you can't get permission to bring it in. Your trailer, your car hauling, get your stickers and you are good to go.

My neighbor who has just moved here about 3 months ago pulled a enclosed trailer and only got a sticker for the car . My guess it that the car sticker covers both the car and trailer .

Yes, the sticker covers both the car and trailer, which you have agreed and signed a bond to remove from Mexico whenever you fail to maintain legal immigration status. In any event, you may not drive the car out of Mexico without the trailer attached. So, if you plan a return trip for a visit, take the trailer with you each time. You may not sell either the car or trailer in Mexico and there are tight restrictions on who may drive your car in Mexico.
