Does anyone know if there is a retinologist in the area. I was diagnosed with early macular degeneration and early cataracts. Dr. Pinto gave me a new prescription last August which helped a little but it is getting worse now.

Any suggestions and recommendations are appreciated.

I think that's too much of a specialty for Lakeside. Dr Laura Choza's clinic (Clinica Choza) in Guad has a Retinologist. Their phone number is 01-333-615-2016. We've used services of this clinic several times and have been very happy. We havenot seen the Retinologist however. BTW - there is a full page ad for this clinic on the inside front cover of the Lake Chapala Review if you want more information.

Sandrita there is no retinologist in the lakeside area who can treat macular degeneration. The most expert retinologist who is a specialist in macular degeneration is Dr. Padilla on Avenida America. He has been involved in international trials for the treatment of macular degeneration.
Go the to search as this topic and information should be on file. I even gave directions as to how to get there.
