Actually SallyAnne - I think a heads up on new topes is a worthwhile piece of information and I thank the OP for mentioning them. Nothing nastier than to suddenly encounter a tope when you are not expecting one.

So.... we are not alone. Did you include the one on Canacinta and the small ones after the Hotel Montecarlos coming in to Chapala?

They are the large bright yellow cannonballs, south of the light at the gasolinera, original one. Good place for them as drivers change lanes, or create new ones there frequently.
I am cautiously considering the benefits of abandoning responsibility in favor of frivolity.

just to hijack this to the other side of town, the monster yellow pyramid cones ceating the "mother of all topes: recently by "Vicky's Hideaway" were altered after a couple of weeks.....someone removed 2 of them a distance apart to alow you to drive a car in the spaces without hitting any ( depending on your sobriety)

UPDATE: THEY'RE BAAAAAAAAAAACK !

And boy was I flippin disappointed!!! I had perfect aiming absolutely DOWN!!!! I could pass thru those two gaps in the eastbound lane at 120-130 mph both sober and hammered! Once again we have a perfect example of government intervention into our lives!!!!

NOW we'll see how long it takes an enterprising soul to remove them once again!
