ComputerGuy
You say you like Kettle Brand potato chips? Then hie thee to SuperLake, where they just got a truckload of bags in different sizes, and about four or five flavours.... all on special, as it looks like they expire in October. I particularly like the SeaSalt & Black Pepper...
rogerm
most everything you buy there expires in a few months.
Xena
As if Kettle Chips will remain unsold until October. Try, all gone by next week. If you like/love Kettle Chips, better get over there soonest. Thank you for the heads up CG.
ComputerGuy
They recently had a big special on Kraft Dinner and DK Deluxe. I'd never spent the extra money on KD Deluxe, so I got one. Blech. Kraft Dinner, though? Yum.

gringal
Anytime you see a pile of goods on sale at Superlake, check the expiration date. Just saying.
Travis
I saw that mountain of Kettle chips and blew right past them. They had Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies on sale! $24 per bag. Bought three. Yes, they "expire" a month from now, but...ahem....let's just say that won't be an issue.
Ginger
I bought a couple today, too Travis plus they're the double chocolate stuffing. Last week he had Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies which I also bought.

Travis
^^ That would be a YES, gringal. I'm told, by myself, I have to eat an apple before "discovering" the cookies in the pantry tonight. Back to Kettle Chips, which are also a treat. I'm pretty sure I've seen the brand at Walmart also, but surely not on sale. (I'm almost never in Superlake.) Someone check that Kettle Chip label! Are they part of the Lays/Sabritas conspiracy? Are they making them here now???
maw7815
They also have a big display of Kettle chips on sale at El Torito past the meat dept. maw
Travis
Update on maw's post above. As of today, there is indeed still a giant selection of Kettle Chips available at El Torito. Lots of different flavors, and they are all 2 for 1, but you have to buy two of the same variety to get the twofer deal. For some reason, the different flavors appear to be priced differently. Anyway....I bagged two bags for 42 MXN. Still made in E.U.A., distributor in Zapopan, "expire" Oct., 14. The market is FLOODED with Kettle Chips. ComputerGuy
In other food news: yesterday at SuperLake, they had a big box of Hellman's Mayo made with olive oil, marked special at $49 but costing $29 at the cash. And the cheese/butter guy who displays at the front had full pound packs of Organic Valley salted butter for an excellent price. Plus the sausage guy, who makes the best variety of sausages for so cheap it's ridiculous. That store is a hot-bed on weekends, I tell ya. NOTE: the Andouille and other varieties of sausage (like Boudin) are also kept in the meat chiller at the back right of the store.

maw7815
I too bought the olive oil mayo and also 3 8 oz. pkg. of MJ cheese that was marked down to 25p. When I got home and looked at the receipt I was charged full price for the mayo and all the cheese. Have to go back today to get my refund. maw
