palmajeank
Has anyone had to have a dog health certificate to cross the border from the U.S. to Mexico? I have all the records of my dog's shots is that enough?
El Cartero
Of course you need them. They may or may not check via car but by air assuredly. Just go to a government website for latest info thru you friend google. If by air also go to their site for their requirements.
palmajeank
Did you have to get an international certificate. My Vet is trying to get it done within two weeks and it seems like a problem. Because it has to have A USDA stamp. It is supposed to be in Spanish and English. We are crossing by car. jrod
The form you need is the APHIS form 7001. The requirements are clear and very specific. And yes, I've been asked for it (but only once) in car travel; most assuredly for air.
red river valley
I go to my vet & they fill out the health certificate...........that is all that is required by car. I've been going back & forth for the past 12 years..........no problem. Just have your vet check the dog & mark the certificate accordingly. We don't get the red light often, and even if we do, they do not always ask to see dog's paperwork. Happy travels!
arv42
Has anyone had to have a dog health certificate to cross the border from the U.S. to Mexico? I have all the records of my dog's shots is that enough? I have crossed the border with my female Rottweiller many times, over twenty, and never have been asked for anything on either side. I do carry the vaccination booklet, just in case. Traveling by air is another story.
