Private English Teacher for 10 yr old kid

My son was recently transfered to a new school in Chapala, but their English language lessons, under my eyes, are somewhat easy for him.

He already speaks a good level of English adquired from previous years in bilingual schools, but I want him to keep improving.

I am wondering what are the rates for a private English teacher for maybe once or twice a week lessons .

Can you recommend anyone?

Thanks

Likely a tutor's charges will be determined by their target clientele -- & 'what that market will bear' Upper middle class professionals vs local working people vs school students....

[ I've been an ESL tutor 15 yrs here & in the States. On a sliding scale I charge $20 - $50 pesos per 1 hr class . OR the equivalent in homemade burritos , Aztec soup!p etc ! ! ]

Wow - but I guess it's positive news that there are some locals able to pay $500 pesos.

For my students $20 pesos , plus sometimes 14 pesos for the bus , is a luxury .

They are maids, waiters, students ( and a grandmother who wants to be able to communicate with her NOB grandchildren who don't speak Spanish!) and very motivated & the students I want to work with.

To the poster's question then the price of instruction can very widely.
