From what I have heard on the news reports, the experts for the prosecution reported back that Tahmooressi does have mental problems. Still one could speculate that part of the decision could be political. Let's hope his mother keeps him home and that he gets proper therapy. Supposedly they evaluated him with some type of phobia that requires him to want to be heavily armed at all times. I'm sure they were convinced that he wasn't some sort of arms dealer or smuggler.

As for his mom´s pickup truck, who knows. Perhaps Mexico, like the U.S., can keep property of those arrested under certain charges. In the U.S. it is drug charges. Maybe here it is possession of illegal firearms. Some DEA and local law enforcement officials in the U.S. are driving luxury cars and boats confiscated under the law.

He is lucky to get off this easy seeing that he was guilty. A Mexican wouldn't have.

They might if they have Jorge Hank Rhon's lawyer working for them like Tahmooressi did.

An international incident involving the country many of us came from and the country where we now live, U.S. and Mexico political posturing, treatment (or lack thereof) for U.S. veterans with PTSD. Yup, nothing here at all. Let´s talk about butter.
