southland
Need a structural engineer to analyze reinforcement or re-support of columns to stabilize a patio built on a hillside. Anyone know of a structural engineer recommended? Thank you.
WideSky
You may want to check the responses to my post asking for recommendations for a structural engineer on June 11/15. Use the search function and the word 'engineer' and it will come up.

El Cartero
I think the architect, Roberto Millan, can get this done for you. On Colon in Ajijic, number in phone book.
Ezzie
Contact Alejandro (Alex) Salazar Gutierrez at (33) 4593-6417 or his brother Alvaro Salazar Gutierrez at (33) 3482-2997. They are both structural engineers and do a lot of design/build and renos in the Lakeside area.

SuzieQ1954
Would they be good to use in deciding on a house to rent? We are two females who really don't know what to look for re structural concerns.
El Cartero
SusyQ, I would think Brad Grieve would be exactly up your alley. Just google his name, add Ajijic, and I'm sure contact info would be supplied. Known for house inspections but also an engineer.
pedro malo
SusyQ, I would think Brad Grieve would be exactly up your alley. Just google his name, add Ajijic, and I'm sure contact info would be supplied. Known for house inspections but also an engineer. I think Brad is a CIVIL engineer, not structural. Had him inspect my house before buying it and he caught NONE of the problems that surfaced and was unable to answer simple electrical questions. Paid $600US for a cookie cutter, fill in the blanks inspection report. Money could have been better spent in my opinion. Although a very nice man, stick with a STRUCTURAL engineer for structural issues. Good Luck
