Fred Habacht
The Firemen in Jocotepec have a search and rescue dog but have no budget to feed and maintain the dog. They have asked if I know of a way they could get a collar and professional leash and perhaps donations to help with dog food.....I would appreciate your feedback and advice. Thanks
sue
Barb you can ask people to leave a donation towards food at the Riberas shelter store and we will notify you or them when there is food or funds. We do this for a few shelters.

Fred Habacht
I know that they would be most appreciative for any help...they are only thought of when they are needed...otherwise they are left behind the old hospital.
red river valley
Barbara: Please tell us what would be the best way to help..........purchase food & deliver to you, them, or what? TIA
Fred Habacht
I have been using several methods....the animal shelter maintains a donation jar and the Bombero captain takes that every two weeks and converts it to food; You can leave food donations at their location in Joco as well...attention JOSE or I have received bags of food and peso donations which we deliver to the location or a daily basis. The fire fighters are the forgotten step child of this municipality...their equipment is either in bad shape or doesn't exist anymore...so any donations can help. Sometimes even gasoline is in short supply. Uniforms are worn out and many men buy their own boots if they can afford to.
