Can I buy a neutralizer somewhere lakeside??? Question is, why do you have soap residue on your floors. I first wash them with a cleaning agent in water, then I rinse them. Never any build up. Wookie Posted July 28, 2014 Report Share Posted July 28, 2014 We cleaned our shower tile with a very fine wet sandpaper. But, geez, the whole floor! You could try duluting muratic acid but be very careful because if it is too strong it will eat your grout. At the very least, I don't think you will be able to just mop it with something. If Muric is cutting it, it may be calcium deposits. If so, CLR is faster and much easier to work with.
