PEACOCK GARDEN

The Garden is usually wonderful--give Ritchie88 (on Colon, west of the Plaza) a shot for breakfasts and lunches only. Had both last week.

Every time I see a posting about the Peacock Garden I like to chime in with my love for the place. Last week we had their seafood and pasta dish and it was fabulous! Joaquin the waiter is the best in the area in my opinion; he's off on Tuesdays so we make sure to go when he's there. They are open seven days a week, so when we get a craving to eat out, we don't have to worry about finding ourselves someplace that is closed that day; I have a hard time keeping up.

Glad to see other people appreciate it as well.

Last night, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves, and I worry about that. My sea bass in white sauce was exquisite, and my wife's carne shish kakob likewise. Really delightful Chilean white (our server's choice).

We worried, too, when we were regulars for lunch to sometimes have the place to ourselves or see just one other table filled. it deserves more customers. It's pleasant in every way. The setting is beautiful.

We haven't been able to get there lately, but the comments here are inspiring us to return soon.

We miss those pushy exotic chickens and peacocks, too. They let you know they're ready to share the chips with you.

One of the favorite places for our brunch group. Always enjoy it and it is definitely one of the prettiest places around. Occasionally they are fairy busy when we are there for Sunday brunch/breakfast but we have been there for lunch several times where we had the place to ourselves.

Beautiful place - good service - enjoy the food - convenient location. Definitely a place that should be well supported.

And if you haven't tried their coconut shrimp -- I recommend it. You get 12 (not 6 or 8) big shrimp and I say hold the rice and veggies and ask for a salad instead. I luv the tamarindo sauce they serve with it also.

Can't beat the tranquil (except for the peacock noise sometimes) and gorgeous garden...and very nice and accommodating wait staff.

I would hate to see it not stick around due to not enuf support from community.

Uh, dancing queen, after seeing your post, we went for their coconut shrimp. You must be a favored customer, because they gave my wife (I again had the sea bass: perfection) something less than 12. Nevertheless, delicious.

A little "buggy" the other evening, but Carmen brought us some lovely smelling spray, and we were no longer bothered. As usual, the food! We're fortunate to be able to eat out quite regularly, and we visit the peacocks at least a couple of times each week. Bummer: we only have a few weeks left in our visit. Oh! Peacock Garden's breakfasts are also great!
