Mainecoons
We continue to get spammed with text messages on our cell phone. My wife has tried taking the phone to a TelCel store and asking them how to block them. We're still getting 4 or more of them per day. Has anyone come up with a way to stop this nuisance? Can we have TelCel block all text messages to our account? We really don't need texting.
John Shrall
Try sending a text message to 2222 with the single word baja. That did it for me last year.
Glyn
I went into Telcel at Centro Laguna Mall took both of our phones in and requested them to stop our phones receiving these texts all the time, it worked for about a month now we are receiving them again. I will try your method John hope it works.
camillenparadise
I don't text either, so I just let the memory fill up and now it's blissfully quiet unless there's a real human calling.
michigander
I don't text either, so I just let the memory fill up and now it's blissfully quiet unless there's a real human calling. That is smart.
Mainecoons
Try sending a text message to 2222 with the single word baja. That did it for me last year. That didn't work. 2222 doesn't connect to anything. Phone says there is no such number. Any other ideas? Took the phone to TelMex, they claimed they stopped the messages, NOPE! John Shrall
You don't call 2222 but rather send a text message. From the menu, select Messages, then messages again and finally create text message.Type baja then under options save and send. Add number 2222, then save and send. Very intuitive, right? RVGRINGO
It may not be instantaneous, so give it a little time.
Mainecoons
Still getting text messages from one of the offenders. Resend the "2222?"
ComputerGuy
The 2222 is only for TelMex headlines, I think. *264 supposedly kills unwanted text ads. To cancel TelCel TIPS (consejos): send NO to 2525. Follow instr. To cancel CHAT: send BOR to 2525.Pause PROFILE (perfil): PAU to 2525. This supposedly deletes your profile so that nothing can be sent.
