CHILLIN
I also have some Mizuna seeds - I have never tried Mizuna, but the French bistro salad "Frisee aux Lardon" sounds good with Mizuna as a substitute for Frisee. I guess you could use crumbled Chicharone instead of bacon too. http://www.seriouseats.com/2010/05/seriously-asian-mizuna-japanese-greens.html
bmh
I have seen frisee at some supermarkets in Mexico and at Superlake. No chicharonee are not good substitutes. there is no substirute here for lardons.
camillenparadise
Mizuna should grow easily at the Lake, just protect it from the occasional deluge. Plant the seed 1/16th of an inch deep. To harvest, cut the leaves you need without disturbing the roots. it will re-grow several times. Happy salading!
