Ranch Doggy Adoption Day - NEW LOCATION

Recommended Posts

We're trying a NEW location so more people can see our wonderful Adoption Dogs. This Saturday, 1 November, we will be in between the gates of the gas company in Ajijic, across the Carratera from Bugambilias Plaza and across Revolucion from Dr. Luis. You'll see the dog walkers and the dogs in their bright orange "Adopt Me" vests. Stop by and say "hi" even if you don't need a new canine companion right now. Adoption Day is held from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm.

I will post a list of dogs who will be walking on Saturday tomorrow when we know who will be coming.

All the Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. There is no charge for adoptions, but donations are gratefully accepted.

Here are this weeks stars! We have chosen medium to large dogs in a variety of ages and colors. Please stop by to say "Hi". We'll be in between the gates of the gas company in Ajijic, across the Carratera from Bugambilias Plaza and across Revolucion from Dr. Luis.

Lee is an medium-sized Black Lab mix with white toe accents. We think he is 5 or 6 years old. He is still fairly high energy and will enjoy sharing hikes and long walks. Lee is a dear, patient dog who shares a kennel with a very high energy, bouncy blind dog. Lee waits hopefully when volunteers walk by, usually sitting on a bench, just asking for a few ear rubs. He will be a loyal and faithful companion for some fortunate person.

LunaToo is a medium sized, short-haired female about a year and half old. She was rescued in Guadalajara and brought to the Ranch. At first glance she is a small black Lab mix. Then you notice the spotted legs and paws, the reddish ears and the white chest. One very colorful dog. LunaToo is a high energy pup who would love to help explore the hills around Ajijic or take long walks through the Village.

Tommy and his sidekick Lester were found abandoned at a house in Chapala and rescued by Gudrun. Lester has found his forever home, but Tommy is still looking. He is a large dog, about 5 years old, who appears to be Australian Cattle Dog (red heeler variety) mixed with something larger with longer hair. Maybe a pale Golden Retriever? He has medium coat that is soft to pat and a breeze to groom. Tommy is a serious lover-boy who would like nothing better than to share your heart and home.

Willie is a medium sized Wheaten Terrier mix. He has a thick wavy strawberry-blond coat that requires some grooming. We think he is 3 or 4 years old. Willie is currently being fostered by one of our volunteers. He has adapted very well to his new home He's quiet, well-behaved , loves people (he imagines himself to be a lapdog! ), is not aggressive with other dogs or cats - a real sweetie. He recently was groomed and came out of the salon with a schnauzer type haircut, which isn't his norm. But, hey, we've all had bad haircuts before, right?

All the Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. There is no charge for adoptions, but donations are gratefully accepted. For photos and pictures of our other dogs please see our Website:
