border crosser Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 I had intended to go to Pepe & Aurora's Sunday afternoon to get a pizza to go. One of my friends who was with me reminded me that they are closed on Sunday. Well, we went to plan "B" which was to get the pizza at The Score. I was a little reluctant as I had gotten one there before and found it to be mediocre. We ordered two of the large pizzas "approximately 12 to 13 inches". The pizzas we ordered are the most expensive with tons of ingredients. They are normally $180 but yesterday they were $150 even with a few more ingredients that we came up with. I have to say that I was very impressed with the pizzas. We have been here almost 15 years and I do believe that this was the best pizza I have had in Mexico. Everything was obviously fresh and there was plenty of it. By the way they were out of boxes so they sent us home with pizza, pan and all wrapped in foil. I think I will take the pan back for a refill very soon!
Orygun Duck Posted July 30, 2012 Report Posted July 30, 2012 I've become somewhat a regular at THE SCORE and have found all the items I've tried on their expanded menu a real treat. (Especially like the draft beer - something of a rarity lakeside.) I've also heard that Brandon has terrific pizza and that he can be fairly flexible (unconfirmed) about the ingredients a customer might require. This place has made a truly remarkable turnaround in the last year or so under Brandon's stewardship. A real sports bar that Ajijic can be proud of. Keep up the good work!
