satnrose Posted June 4, 2013 Report Posted June 4, 2013 A friend just informed me there has been a home invasion at her residence in Chapala today. I'm not sure of the area, other than she was sharing with two others. I might vaguely recall her saying it was in town. She was not home at the time but her roommates were. Everyone is okay. Someone will hear more about this, or it might be reported here. She was in hurry meeting someone so I don't have details and this is very sketchy. So, keep your ears and eyes open. Another friend reached down to pick up a bottle of clorox that had been sitting in the sun. It exploded in his face. Hopefully he won't require surgery. Keep tightly sealed bottles of out of the sun. I know, the bearer of bad news. It's been that kinda day. Be careful out there.
Bunyan Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 An email I got today says that kids in the States are putting drano, a bit of aluminum foil and water into soda bottles. If moved, as if to dispose of the soda bottle in your yard or wherever, the mixture becomes volatile and explodes with enough force to blow fingers off. The liquid is boiling hot, causes both heat and chemical burns. Fun stuff, hun?
Bourbonman Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 There is a similar practice here in Mexico !
