valbogyo Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Very interesting. Note the % of Chines. With the new, very liberal rules, for permenente requirements...... I see this rising very sharply. What struck me, on the last few trips to and through Mexico City, is the increased presence of the Chinese. Many dollars being invested, I understand, and there are millions of Chinese who can meet the requirement of approximately 125K in investments. We shall see.
Ajijic Posted May 31, 2013 Author Report Posted May 31, 2013 ValGal you are right. We are at INM several times a week. We see Asians there far more frequently and often with children. The parts manufacturers such as the new wiring harness plant in Dolores Hidalgo and the Honda assembly plant for the new Honda Fit in Celaya, etc are bringing in more Asians. This goes back to my positive post regarding Mexico's economy and especially the auto plants plus several other manufacturers coming to Mexico. Meanwhile, on a side note, auto manufacturing in Canada keeps declining. Plus manufacturers in general are rethinking China and Mexico is on their radar. As I also noted even San Miguel has a commitment with Chinese investors and a $2,000,000 bio-tech facility just announced.
Happy Feet Posted June 1, 2013 Report Posted June 1, 2013 Intersting link but not sure about the info. The states of Jalisco, Nayarit and Guanajuato were not included in the places where expats visit. PV and SMA high on the list for expats visiting Mexico.
