Torontonian Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 I often take my dog to the very wide beach area between San Mateo (7-11 street) and San Pablo (the street west of San Mateo.) There is good access - a gravel "road" - from the beach end of San Pablo. There are horses, cows and golfers on this stretch of mostly grassed beach. Unfortunately there is also trash but I am making progress on that. I could use some help though with the fishing nets. Perhaps there are a few people out there in chapala.com country who would like to take a walk with clippers? and garbage bag in hand. How about tomorrow evening, Sunday, at 7:00 p.m.. It will be cooler on the beach and very pleasant. We can meet at the foot of San Pablo. Thank you.
Ginger Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 I would but I can't tonight. Let me know when another time is convenient.
Tangawizi Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 Sure, I can come with a garbage bag, but I don't have clippers. See you this evening!
ichbinsaege Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 There is an organized event to clean up the lake on Saturday June 1st. I've seen posters for it around Chapala and Ajijic. It is in Spanish. I once saw it on facebook, but I don't remember where and I just searched around and can't find the info. I know there is a poster at El BarCo, and at Coffee Hour.
