I am trying to find the address, phone number and website for the Sweet's Motel possible Suites Motel in Ajijic. Thanks for any help. PM or public post would be fine.

thanks Bournemouth, but this is not the place I am looking for. The place I was told about was referred to as Sweets (or Suites) Motel. Very much a budget place. Center courtyard with pool. Efficiency units on the second floor. Many more units than the place listed above.

I am not aware of any place in Ajijic by that name but the description sounds like it may be that place on the carretera a little west and across the street from the Post Office. You can see the pool from the street, but I can not remember the name. La Calandria?

There is a place similarly named down by the lake, accessible from Linda Vista off Ocampo, and then onto a little street named Linda Vista Privada. They rent out little condo type places and have a courtyard, and I believe a pool.

I just walked by Ajijic Suites about an hour ago. Looks like a friendly place. It is close to the Coffee and Bagel place off the carretera.

Ajijic Suites is a lovely inexpensive place. Elaine is a wonderful person and is aways available to help you in any way. We stayed there twice before we moved and I would recommend it.

O.P. here. Just got confirmation from Elaine at Ajijic Suites for my first visit to Ajijic. She was very helpful and I was able to do everything very easy by internet, refreshingly easy. I will be Lakeside for the whole month, December 2013. I have already found a mentor and friend here in Minneapolis. No doubt many of you know Don. His birthday is today by the way! Thanks to all for your help.

You will love staying with Elaine and Luis, wonderful people. I am sure Luis will pick you yuppies st the airport for a very reasonable rate. He can also act as a translator if you are in need of one. Good choice...Ajijic Suites
