Today I was shown a field of Alfalfa....70 hectares of it. High quality bales as well as ground Alfalfa. The smell of fresh mown grass brings back wonderful memories.

If you own horses....you can buy from the grower and many people were loading pick ups as we watched.

Do you ever attend any of the religious walks in Ajijic? The streets--particularly Calle Parroquia, leading from the Delegación to the church--are strewn with a thick layer of alfalfa for the pilgrims to tread upon. Delicious fragrance...green and clean.

I'm kind of surprised that they'd use it. It's a killer for anyone who suffers from hay fever. I'd think that Lakeside would be an excellent place to grow it ...during the hot season though if they can keep it irrigated. Going to make the horse lovers very happy.
