I just called them and they said 'Only a 7-day, Liability only policy'. $40. You have heard different? The Seguro Gringo company mentioned by bournemouth above gives an online quote: 2 weeks of basic coverage (30/60/25) for $49.

Any person (FM3 Mexican or foreign) who lives in Mexico, traveling as a tourist to the U.S. in a vehicle with U.S. plates. The home must be in Mexico, and the person must be licensed in the USA.
