I tried the so called "better" restaurants in the Lakeside area, and I think that no cook here can beat Jose. It might not look fancy but, for me, no doubt that he is number one..... and faaaar better prices. ribs, salmon, chili rellenos, his rice, soup, potato salad,.... all recommended

BIG portion, delicious.
linda clark Posted April 25, 2012 Author Report Posted April 25, 2012 I went yesterday and after struggling with the decision on what to order, thoroughly enjoyed my choice of the salmon. I'll just have to make repeat visits and work my way through the offerings!

Guest Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 If you are standing in front of the Mercado, turn to your right and start walking, then turn left between those buidings and you will see several places to eat...Cucumbers and Jose's are two of the places that I know of ...there may be others now because it has been awhile since I have eaten at either place...the school for hair is located on the corner.
