There's one who goes on patrol in Upper Ajijic where I live, above Farmacia Guadalajara, generally during the cooler/colder nights. It sounds like a steam locomotive pulling into town. I've heard them all over Mexico, even some beach locations.

Bonafont water is 16 pesos per 20-liter bottle? Why are we paying 22 pesos (I think) for Santorini? Anyway, when we rented our house 3 1/2 years ago, we just flagged down the Santorini truck as it passed our house on its regular route. Ever since they come by every Thursday, ring the bell, and carry in whatever number of bottles we need. No need to call. Love the service and really love not having to schlep bottles back and forth to stores.

Apparently no good comment, like no good deed, goes unpunished! I'm here another week, then back Sept 19 til Oct 15, during which time I want to invite youse guyses for pad Thai and ....that green papaya salad the name of which just went outta my noggin..
I'm speaking to the garden club Sept 21 (the equinox or close enough) on container salad gardening.
