With the recent dearth of rain the lake level has started to drop. Yikes! Someone do a rain dance.

Same lack of rain here in PV but I haven't noticed the ocean level dropping.

Perhaps there's a lot more rivers feeding the ocean everywhere in the world than feeding the lake?
