John Shrall
The new cuota is now visible coming down from the mountains near the town of El Capomo. There was lots of dust coming from the work site with noticeable movement toward the south during the week we were at the beach. There is nothing going on at the other end where the cuota ends pushing traffic north to Compostela. The end of the paved road is still clearly visible. The very odd thing is that most of the new Jala to Compostela bypass was being repaved with new asphalt. It looks like the cuota will follow a straight line between Mazatán and El Capomo before making the bend toward Bucerias. There is apparently some very rugged terrain between those 2 points requiring many bridges. That's what is slowing things down. Hopefully they will make a lot of progress before the rain starts. pappysmarket
Environmental permitting has also greatly added to the slowdown.....to the delight of some and angst of others.
