camillenparadise Posted November 7, 2017 Report Share Posted November 7, 2017 It IS open, but not very long a stretch. I drove it two weeks ago. I was under the impression that Jala was MUCH closer to Guad....my bad!!! There were at least four places with active road reconstruction, all poorly marked, very little notice to change lanes. Also very easy to see where the mudslides occurred....WHAT were they thinkin????? It did cut out some of the more tedious sections, but until the carretera goes to Bucerias, the section from Compostela to there will continue to be a HUGE PIA!
