nolajoe
I am looking for recommendations based on personal experience for a Spanish/English offline translation app. I use Google Translate for translations when my phone is connected and it works okay, but I am willing to try another app based on personal recommendations. ComputerGuy
I have not seen any apps better than Google Translate, for Android. There are many. Some handle the translation in different ways. Google Pixel Buds are earbuds that allow for simultaneous translation in 40 languages, but they are not quite available yet. My Alexa app has a translator that speaks for you... my prerequisite for any app is Mexican Spanish, and voice translation (I speak in English, it repeats in Spanish), as well as image translation (I hold up the camera to a sign in Spanish and Google translates right there). So it comes down to trying out the apps (iPhone too) and simply deciding which interface is best for you. I do not believe there are any apps that are more accurate. Unfortunately, grammar is a different subject.
Tiny
I also use Google Translate. You need to learn the phrase "habla despacio por favor".
