Ranch Dog Adoption Day this Saturday - 21 Oct

Adult Dogs on Leashes:

This weeks adult dogs (with the exception of Melia) are all very new to the Ranch and not yet in our database, so I know nothing much about them. They are all medium sized, Ellie Mae and Jethro appear to have a bit of Red Heeler in the mix. Heidi looks like an MSD (Mexican Street Dog) with a bit of Shepherd.

Malia is about 8 months old, purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) black variety. She and her sisters were abandoned at the Ranch. She has a one-of-a-kind white chest accent as you can see from her photo. And she is about as cute and playful and affectionate as a puppy can be. Malia is growing fast, her chest is deep and paws rather large so we expect she will be on the large side of medium.

Puppies in the pen:

We have only two of our Puppertunity pups left: Pola and Kaylee (both female). Which one is which? I can't tell. You'll just have to come and meet them in person! These lucky pups, along with mom-dog Julia, were rescued from a neglect situation, but are now happy and healthy pups, all ready to go to good homes. They are about 14 weeks old, love play, cuddling, and napping. Their breed is hound/pitbull mix. Based on the size of their mommy, we expect that they will be medium sized when they grow up.

Also in the puppy pen, we have a new litter of puppies, just 12 weeks old and now they have names:. Riggs, Gordy, Barkley, Ruby and Hazel. They were left in a box by our gate but they are safe, happy, and growing fast. They have first shots and have been wormed. Some are brown, some are black and all have white accents. We have both boys and girls. They look like Shepherd mixes and are going to be medium sized when they grow up. They are super cute right now, That’s all I know.

All our Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. Puppies have had some shots and been wormed, but most are not yet altered. We will pay for altering when they are old enough. Couple of updates. Malia's sister, Maisie, is coming instead. Maisie is very much like Malia but she is on the small side of medium.

And Barkley has been adopted so another small male puppy currently in Foster will be in the puppy pen instead. We know nothing except that his name is Bentley .
