Doctor recommendations needed

Recommended Posts

I must say that you will get many different answers about that.  What I have learned from living here is that it really depends on your health to begin with.  If you have a complex medical situation, one doctor may be terrible for you while another quite good.  We have been through several G.P.  Each seemed good for a while until he wasn't anymore.

Dental wise, many are happy with Dr. Candy.  I go to her as well.  I have no dental issues, so I go just for maintenance, but others who do have some dental problems, are happy with her.  I think if you are needing something quite complex such as implants, she would not be the one.

Opthalmologist, I can recommend Dr. Claudia Camacho and I think others will agree with that recommendation.

Not easy to answer as zeb points out

My opinion

G. P. Not found a decent one in 5 years.must have tried 5 or6.

Specialists who come here are in general good. Haro for gastro. Briseno cardio for instance.

Dentist. As above. Dental express ok but difficult to get quick appointment . Not tried dr. Candy, she is next on my list.

Opthalmologist. Not needed one but for glasses or general eye test luz at lcs is good.

Ophthalmologists can do surgery. Opticians and Optometrists examine eyes and prescribe glasses.  Dr. Luz is an optician.  For the former, I recommended Dr. Vargas, who has offices in Guadalajara, but an examining room in the Ajijic Clinic where he works once or twice a week

Dentist:  Dr. Eloy Barragan

General Practitioner: Dr. Jessica Flores (office in Dr. Leon's building)

You will get as many answers as there are people. Two doctors here have made a huge, positive impact on our lives ...Dr. Rios, an opthalmologist,  is responsible for saving the sight in my left eye, and Dr. Leon, our GP,  is the reason my husband is alive today. He referred us to a specialist when np one thought it was needed. If you want more info, please PM me. I will not get into discussions about the "good, bad and ugly" regarding Lakeside doctors.

As a G.P. I would suggest Dr Lawrence Whitehurst.   He's retired Military.  Located in La Floresta.   We have tried most all the others and find him preferable.    Dr. Haro, from Maryland University I believe, in Riberas for dental work. IMO you will get much feed back based on price.   I  don't put a price on health and so don't factor such into the equation.  Too this is my opinion from only a dozen years here.   I have no experience with opthalmologists.
