sm1mex
Has anyone experienced a complete blockade from the main road to the terminal between 10-3 every day? Someone told us this was happening.

ComputerGuy
I arrived at 3:30 last Wednesday and there were no blockades. Taxi driver told me he hadn't seen them on a regular basis.
sm1mex
A friend told us today it was in the Reporter this week about the daily 10-3 blockade and the authorities were allowing it. I haven't got the Reporter yet, but plan to tomorrow. Anyone else see the article in this weeks paper?
virgogirl
I was there at the ADUANA-SAT filing car papers last Friday and really worried it would be a fiasco with blockades. Nothing. This was between 1 and 3pm.

Cincy
In and out the airport for a pick-up this afternoon - no problems - no signs of any protesters or additional police presence.
Bisbee Gal
No problems this afternoon either. Also, since we last flew down in April, the customs procedures seem to have changed. You still hit the red-light green-light, but if you get green you go past the x-ray machines (don't run your bags thru it). If you get a red light, you run your luggage thru the x-ray machine and unless they see something suspicious, they just tell you to pick it up and go....don't have to open up suitcases for inspection. At least this is what we observed. We had green light, but saw the red light procedure on the aisle next to us. I know they have gotten rid of the red/green light in MEX and expect to do so at GDL at some point, but it seems as if they have already sped up the process here.
