JayBearII
We have a blockage in a drain pipe that serves the toilet and the shower next to it. Despite 3 tries, our plumber has not solved the problem. The last effort involved 3 guys and a device that blew air at high pressure thru the drain pipe. That fix lasted about 3 days. Obviously, we still have an obstruction somewhere. We have heard that there is a camera that a plumber can put down the pipe to find where and what the problem is. Has anyone had experience with this, and if so, can you advise as to who has one of these cameras? TIA.
NachoOE
Fontaneria SantaCruz has the camera for pipe inspections. They are in Guadalajara but I'm pretty sure they would provide service in Chapala too. Their phone number is 3694-5608
Cronopio
Jose Martinez of Chapala 765-3297 045 333 174 1282 The video the camera takes is pretty clear -- Martinez should be able to see what the problem is.
Kiko
Some cameras have transmitters so you can pinpoint the location of the camera head with a receiver above grade similar to a metal detector. Once you see the blockage, then you would activate the transmitter to pin point the location. Just a view of the blockage is not going to be of much help if you cannot pinpoint the location. You might get lucky if the pipe run is a straight run and then you could measure to the blockage location, but if the piping has turns then the exact location will be difficult without a transmitter attached to the camera. So if you have a choice, hire the guy with both camera/transmitter.
