cedros
On Hidalgo several blocks west of the traffic light on Madero there is a restaurant or two on the south side (opposite and a bit east of the mural on the north side of Hidalgo). To the east is a small breakfast place. Just west of this is an entrance to a large bar restaurant with pool on the water. Could it be La Cagumanta and Quetzel Bar? I need the name to check as to what time they open.
tzevi
Very complicated instructions - but I know where and what you mean. No longer El Quetzal. Now called Merendero Chapala https://www.facebook.com/Merendero-Chapala-512032965670521/
cedros
Thanks so much-that is it-the one in the back on the water. Is the small breakfast place out front part of it or does it have a different name?
tzevi
I'd say fronting on the water. Has a short duration buffet @ 12:00, at a cost of 100 pesos. Not tried it but good reviews I've heard. No. The smaller breakfast place quite separate is El Arbol de Cafe, aka, the Coffee Tree. A popular morning ritual for locals.
moderator-2
Moved to La Cocina. Please remember that the "Restaurant Happenings" thread is only for restaurant announcements mostly coming from owners or operators. Questions about restaurants like this one go in La Cocina. Thanks.
