Guad tech scene

"Trump visa crackdown spurs tech moves to Mexico - Silicon Valley expands south for access to skilled engineers struggling to enter US"

Guad is considered to be the tech capital of the country, from an industrial perspective.  In my personal experience, as a simple random user, Mexican web page design and engineering is often illogical and overall among the worst in the world (while the Japanese seem the best, the latters' lurid color schemes notwithstanding).  Craftsmanship.

One reason I became more interested in Lakeside a couple of years ago was Guads' planned participation in an IEEE 'smart cities' (IoT) worldwide initiative, and Jaliscos' ambitious "Creative Digital Cities" plans.  (See http://esci-ksp.org/project/guadalajara-creative-digital-city/ )  Last time I looked into them, neither of these seemed to be scaling, the participation of a few fine academics aside.  But I can't really tell from here in California or during brief visits.

I have noticed this too, but didn't want to say anything... MX is technologically behind the USA, we have to just give them time to catch up with training, etc.  This also applies to the amplified music issue.

Mexican web page design and egineering may be bad, but a while ago, in Guad, I worked as a software developer for IBM and we had a world class software development lab, with certifications for  U.S. Department of Defense Class C2 level of security and CMM 5 software development certifications.

We were developing software for many IBM software products and providing worldwide level 2 and 3 software tech support.

I traveled a bit and let me tell you mexican engineers are among the top and most respected in some fields.

There are many companies in Guad like Oracle,Tata, IBM,Intel,HP,Continental etc .
