Paco Loco
I want to drive a Jalisco plated car to San Diego, CA. Aside from the need for US auto insurance, what are the limitations to driving the vehicle in the US?

desafinada
We took our Jalisco plated car to San Diego for a month earlier this year. Other than the insurance, we didn't require any thing else. We did get a lot of comments from ex pat Mexicans in the area. Those led to some fun conversations. You, as a resident of Mexico, can drive your Mexican car in the USA for up to a year. There are no formalities at the border.
