bdmowers
I`m looking for real "homemade" butter, that is, not the big pasteurized, chemicalized machine-made brands like Lala, etc. For instance, does anyone know where to obtain the butters from Mazamitla? There`s a little store on Zaragoza just past Miguel Martinez but it doesn`t have butter. Gracias.
Xena
There is a dairy shop on Independencia just south of Adelita's and across the street. She does have butter -- and wonderful cheeses.

MtnMama
Several vendors have fresh butter at the Tuesday Market. There is also a vendor selling goat milk yogurt but I don't know if he also sells goat milk.
ned small
European style, unsalted, cultured butter from Mazamitla can be purchased from the vendor[Joaquin] in the southwest corner of the Chapala Mercado in any size you want. ericurmudgeon
Marlowes marvellous mantequila. On the same street (sorry I don't know the name) as where No4 restaurant used to be. Really good home made butter plus lots of other delicious goodies.
elrich
you can easily make wonderful butter yourself just with Lycott crema para batir (whipping cream). it only takes about 15 minutes and if you like salted butter, no problem just add it after whipping.. you can google making butter or pm me and I can talk you through it.
