cedros
There is also a pink Primavera which isn't blooming yet. Primavera means Spring. Some of the Jacaranda are blooming now.

ComputerGuy
And for some reason, the closer to San Juan Cosala you get, the earlier both of those trees bloom. Must be the hot underground springs.
cedros
I live in SJC and I never thought of that. My Primavera doesn't have leaves let alone flowers.
WideSky
What do you mean when the jarcaranda starts to bloom; we've got purple roads in some areas of Chapala Haciendas with all the falling blossoms.

I noticed that too. In fact, two jacaranda near our yard still haven't even gotten leaves yet. But many of the jacaranda in CH have "half-bloomed", but almost immediately lost all their flowers. It's been drier and warmer than normal. Could that have affected them?
WideSky
I wouldn't be surprised that the lack of water has affected them. Our temperatures have been rather wacky this year too. My azalea, that I water regularly, bloomed almost a month early this year. It was in full bloom mid-March 2016 but it's nothing but spent blossoms now.
