solmexgal
Rosa de Ruiz Rojo presents an exhibit of jewelry showcasing her creations, in which the beauty of gems and minerals is coupled with the nobility of metals. Rosa’s creations take the form of animals as represented by the ancient Mexicans and include the Jaguar – held sacred by many Mesoamerican cultures, the snail – symbolizing the infinity of the universe; Quetzalcoatl, the plumed serpent; and birds such as the quetzal. The animal figures are complemented by gemstones such as rock and quartz crystals, lapis lazuli and turquoise, jade and coral, with glints of silver. There will be many unique hand-made pieces available over this special 3 day event from 12 until 4pm on Friday 3rd February, continuing on Saturday and Sunday (12-4pm) at Galeria Sol Mexicano, Colon #13, Ajijic Centro.
