We dropped it and download our TV programs from the internet and play them on our TV through an O!Play box. You can also hook most newer TVs up direct to a computer or Apple device and play that way. Telecable however did merge with izzi which is a mess. But these english channels often get offline. Mostly passing the weekend it get solved. We tried USTvNow. Liked it, but even paying for higher speed Internet, the shows spooled for 10 seconds, played for 20 seconds, and spooled agin. Guess we will be trying something else. johanson Posted November 6, 2016 Report Share Posted November 6, 2016 Remember that channels 84, 85, 86, 87 comes from US DISH TV. They are received on a 2.4 meter dish at the West Chapala Telecable office. Often on the weekends when the techies are not there two to four of the 4 channels go down. Once a technician gets there on Monday they have always in the past fixed the problem. I will be one block away Monday morning and will drop by the office and see if there are any changes to these channels or if its the typical weekend problem. Remember that it was about 6 years ago that the US and Canada went from analog to digital channels. Well so did Mexico. It's just that in Mexico they left the old fashioned analog channels working but added digital. They now broadcast many English language channels on the Telecable Digital channels 101 to 999. The digital channels are in standard definition and HD. For example you can watch CNN in either standard definition on channel 608 or HD on 782 Heck they even have the Playboy cannel in standard definition on channel 790 and HD on 789. They have the BBC, HLN, Fox news, you name it in English And many of their other programs from HBO Cinemax, TNT, NFL, ESPN, Fox sports, Disney etc that broadcast in English if you choose the SAP or secondary audio program on your receiver. johanson Posted November 7, 2016 Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 I dropped by the Telecable office today and the technician stated that as soon as they can figure out what to do, that they will fix the problem. Now all four are off the air.
