stuphel Posted March 29, 2014 Report Share Posted March 29, 2014 It's time for us to head back across the border, and for personal reasons leaving on Tuesday April 15 makes some sense. We intend to overnight in Matahuala (2 dogs) and get into Nuevo Laredo on the 16th. We've had differing advice regarding driving during Holy Week. Our Mexican podiatrist feels we'll have no problem since we're driving midweek, but some friends have said that they drove up to Laredo between Palm Sunday and Easter and encountered literally thousands of people doing walking pilgrimages along the side of the very busy roads. We're looking for the voices of experience: Should we avoid travelling during Holy Week (causing some other problems) or do you think we will be ok to head out then?
