lindady
I totally agree with ericurmugeon. If LCS were in a mall or shopping center I would rarely go there unless it were specifically for a need. The charm, tranquility, older buildings, statues, ponds, and beautiful nature found there are its big draw for me. An oasis in the middle of the "busyness" of Ajijic and the whole area. People need a place to relax, be quiet, have solitude or friendly visiting, and feel safe. LCS is a special place and I would be very sad to see it no longer available. I use the movie rental place, magazine/used book room, little cafe, the grounds for relaxing and reading, genealogy monthly club, and if I remembered, would try to see a Film on thursdays, plus if I had more time, would attend more clubs and classes. Please don't move LCS. Parking is never a problem, for I park around the block and always find a spot.
lcscats
LCS has more than one array of solar panels. They are not just on the Library building.

El Saltos
Did they issue an RFP for competitive bid or did someone sole-souce the job?
lakeside7
Did they issue an RFP for competitive bid or did someone sole-souce the job? I think I read some place that a donation was given for the whole or part.....good PR for the company and community business
maw7815
I see an E-Sun banner ad on the LCS website so that is most likely the company that put up the solar panels. http://lakechapalasociety.com/
