aginmexico
Location: Viva Mexico Restaurant in San Juan Cosala Time: Cocktails 5:00 accompanied by a buffet dinner afterwards (includes beverage of your choice (excluding hard liquor) beer, wine, margaritas, soft drinks, etc). Drink tickets will be given upon arrival. Price: $150 pesos Carpooling: Car poolers should drive to the Ajijic pier and park to the right of the pier in front of the Malecon. Please be on time as we will leave promptly at 4:30. If you wish to drive, here are the best directions we can give: San Juan is tricky because there are very few street signs. The way to find it is to watch for a sizable brick school building on the left a little way into San Juan, which is a good landmark for where to turn. It's near the second tope in town. You can either turn left there or go a short block to the street after it (small, you have to watch for it) which runs between the church and plaza. On the map, it looks like the street beside the school is Independencia, but not at all sure it's marked. If one turns by the school, go down a long block to Porfirio Diaz, San Juan's main street. Go right, pass the church/plaza, and continue on that street two blocks. The restaurant is near the end of the second block on the right side, painted an orangy/gold color. You can also simply meet us at the Ajijic pier and follow us to the restaurant. Our volunteers are meeting with the restaurant owner today to re-confirm and with the committee in the morning to finalize carpooling. I am going to post a poll and it would be immensely helpful if you could respond asap so we can give Augutine an idea of how many will attend the buffet. Check for a last minute update tomorrow afternoon. Thanks in advance for your interest and hope to see you Thursday! Prerecorded background music will be provided, some of it lively, so if you have a problem with this you might wish to not sit close to the iPod.
