jengland
What services or activities does the Society have for visitors? We are doing our first exploratory trip to Lakeside to see if we want to retire there. Only there for 4 days 11/11 to 11/14. I would also like suggestions on what to do and see during our short visit. Jim
MtnMama
As I answered in your other post, Lake Chapala Society is open to the public. There are many member only services, but you are welcome to walk around the gardens and grounds, look at the libraries and have a bite to eat at the coffee shop. You will just miss the Craft Fair 8 Nov but there may be other activities of interest: http://lakechapalasociety.org/test/Member_Activities/act_03_year2010schedule.php'>http://lakechapalasociety.org/test/Member_Activities/act_03_year2010schedule.php Check the Website a week or so before you arrive to see what else may be going on. When you get here, stop and talk to the Information table volunteer and say "hi" to the friendly folks at the Cruz Roja table. http://lakechapalasociety.org

Jim Perfect timing on your part....you will be able to attend the Feria Exposicion Maestros del Arte....a really huge Mexican Art Show. It runs from 11/12-11/14.
