Thought I heard thunder in the distance a minute ago.

Thunder happens, rain this time of year - not so much, the last time we had rain in May was 2009, but we'll do the dance just in case. PS: I finally found the new pots for the ones broken in the last "blow by" and they're now sitting down low until this passes. They only cost about $30p each, but must have cost me $200p in gas etc. to find them.

The usual dry storms at this time of year. Weak Pacific moisture. It does hold the temps down a bit.

We got more than a few drops and made the grass wet.

Yes, by the time it was over, we had a little less rain than you, but it's nice to see it a little cooler today. the trouble is my electric solar panels didn't do as well today as normal because of the clouds. :)

Oh well, the fireworks seem louder than usual today in my neighborhood for the day of the construction worker and the day of the cross.

Weather.com says chance of storms for the next five days, and then a couple of different days the next week. According to the time lapse radar, some fairly heavy stuff just missed us to the North. Maybe it will move a little South. Please.

Where did you find the pots?
I heard lots of thunder in Rancho but I was having a siesta so didn't go out to check for rain.

I hope I am not going off the subject, I have a question about weather. I am going to be in Lakeside in 6days. The hotest month is not my favorite. But, going to be very happy to be there, finally. I am wondering if it cools of at night? Do you get a lot of wind at Lakeside? Just wondering what to bring.

My weather station shows lows of about 52F nightly but I am baffled as to when it gets that cool. I get a nice breeze in the afternoon and evenings up on the hill above the carretera. The house rarely drops below 75F this time of year. I guess it depends on what kind of climate you are used to. To me it is brutally hot but if you are from the southern states or a tropical climate it might be cold for you.

For me there a nice breeze after 7pm (Chapala) albeit my casita is warmer at 1am than it is during any other hours of the day. Think it must have to do with construction, location and orientation of the home in question.

Yep, we had rain and lots of wind and thunder around 4 this morning...it seems like we had a mild April this year and we may get lucky and not have blasting hot May....it still beats Houston with heat and high humidity.
